PriMoThemes Compatibility

Our software requires PHP 5.2+, running on an Apache web server, with WordPress® installed. Almost every hosting provider meets these basic requirements. We recommend Rackspace®(Cloud Sites), HostGator or BlueHost; but there are many providers to choose from. Our themes are compatible with both dedicated and shared hosting packages. Including Cloud Computing models. As long as their running Apache with PHP 5.2 or higher.

Compatibility with different versions of WordPress® will vary depending on the specific product you've selected. If you need to know whether a particular theme, plugin or widget will be compatible with the version of WordPress® that you're using, please click the Documentation button for the product in question; and review its Specifications.

We update the product's Specifications whenever updates are released, and also whenever new versions of WordPress® are tested for compatibility against the product. A Changelog is maintained for each product so you can follow along with our progress. In the product's Specifications, we provide information about the minimum system requirements, along with details about compatibility with the latest version of WordPress®.

If you've been using the product for awhile, you should check the latest Specifications for the product before you update your WordPress® software; just to make sure everything will remain compatible after the upgrade. In some cases you may need to download the latest version of the software and upgrade it at the same time you upgrade the WordPress® framework. This is why we recommend Premium Membership, because it includes ongoing access to support-related content & services. Including updates and security patches for all of our software.

W3C Validated / Cross-Browser Compatible

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) develops interoperable technologies (specifications, guidelines, software, and tools) to lead the Web to its full potential. Their validator checks the markup validity of Web documents. Our themes have passed all of the W3C validation guidelines for XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Our themes are cross-browser compatible. They will function properly on all PC & Mac based operating systems with the following browsers:

• Internet Explorer 7+ ( yes, including version 8+ )
• Firefox® 1.5+ ( yes, including versions 2 & 3+ )
• Safari 3+ ( yes, including version 4+ )
• AOL® Browsers with IE7+
• Google® Chrome
• Opera 9+

They will also function with lesser-known browsers using a Gecko-based engine, such as Flock, and browsers like MSN® & Maxthon® running IE7+ rendering engines. Users running outdated ( incompatible ) browsers will be auto-detected; and shown a special notification screen that asks them to update their software.

Outdated browsers include:
IE6, Netscape & older versions of AOL.

IE6 is all but extinct. IE6 users MUST upgrade to IE7+. IE6 has lots of issues with modern websites and fails to deliver consistent results. PriMoThemes.com does not support IE6 for a variety of reasons; including security, the lack of support for PNG graphics, the lack of support for CSS selectors, box-model issues, hover support, and the list goes on.
