Anyone Have Minify and Gzip Recommendations?

I'm running s2member and Quick Cache and love them. Though, my understanding is that Quick Cache does neither minifying nor gzipping, so I was wondering what folks recommend for those 2 items to help reduce load times?

I tried WP Minify but it broke my site, some of the style and/or js links disappeared or become 400 errors.

I see someone of this forum tried Autoptimize I think it's called, but ran into troubles and Jason suggested WP Minify.

I'm committed to, and love, the WebSharks' sharktastic s2member and Quick Cache, but not sure about minifying and gzipping in ways that play nice with those plugins? Can anyone recommend good solutions?
