Do you have different levels of access to your site using S2Member (0-4)?

I downloaded the premium WP FB Autoconnect plugin, and once users log in with Facebook it takes them to my login welcome page urging them to purchase premium membership. Only once they log in with Facebook, they are privy to all levels of access (0-4) - so they have no incentive to pay for a premium membership. I only want free FB users to have access to 0.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas!

I created a dropdown member menu that uses s2member_pro_login_widget() to show a login/register screen for site members, and the member's credentials for logged-in visitors.

Next is a call to !is_user_logged_in() that that calls the FB-Autoconnect function for visitors. Visitors can use their Facebook credentials to join automatically and get a free membership. When the profile is created they are taken to the S2Member "members area" page.

The "members area" has a test for the free membership level, and invites free members to upgrade to paid memberships.

The two plugins work nicely together.

Issue resolved by implementing Jarain Engage. Not sure what the issue was with FB-Autoconnect

Similar problem... trying the WP-FB-Autoconnect, but it's not working at all. Do I need the Pro version for it to work??

Can't wait to get started with s2Member and see how it does!

Just FYI, trying to activate the s2Member plugin if you've got Simple Facebook Connect plugin installed and activated will not work. It triggers a fatal error in the get_user call in capabilities.php somewhere in includes.

Just wanted to add this in the rare off-chance that someone else is dealing with it. There are no google results for the bizarre error it generated, so I doubt it.

Anyway, no worries as I just removed Simple Facebook Connect via FTP and will just try to find a different Facebook Connect plugin that will work. I'd really like to have a seamless Facebook/WP registration workflow but that's not essential. I'd rather have a solid membership structure, so I'll give this a go and see how it works!

Cheers,
Tia 8-)
