To answer your question. Yes, s2Member will make it easy to do just that. If you're brand new to the software, I would suggest getting some assistance though. The BuddyPress + s2Member combination can be daunting at first. We charge $250 for a professional installation of BuddyPress + s2Member.

I'd like to use the plugin with WPMU & BuddyPress to create two levels:

The lowest basically the BuddyPress account, the higher level with blogging (a paid blog network -- or at least preventing use of the shopping cart plugin) on the subscription model. Can s2Member do that?
