I've had a few of these

0 => 'No Return-Data from PayPal®. Customer must wait for Email Confirmation.',
1 => 'Redirecting Customer to the Home Page.',

appearing in my logs over the last month, although i think my users have been receiving activation emails.

The empty log entries have been caused by Google's crawlers from what I can figure out, as the pages where my Paypal buttons were on were NOT set to 'No Follow' in my SEO settings so Googlebots were trying to follow the links, thus creating invalid Paypal attempts.

I have set the pages to 'No Follow' and for now I haven't seen anymore of these type of entries.

Also if you have acess to your server via CPanel, make sure you go into Email Authentication and enable email SPF and Domain keys.

If you don't do that, your emails might not get passed some very fussy spam filters on services like Hotmail.

Ideally you need to sign your emails with a DKIM signature but that isn't possible in CPanel just yet until they released version 11.32 which your host will no doubt upgrade to when it is released in a couple of weeks.

DKIM signatures will ensure 100% that your mail is signed as secure and delivery rates will be 100%.

Most services such as Yahoo etc have already dropped the SPF and domain keys authentication and already ONLY look fro DKIM to ensure a mail is not spam.

I have s2Member Version 110710 installed on Wordpress Version 3.2.1. I am having numerous users email me complaining that they did not receive an email with a link to complete the registration process. Below is an excerpt from my paypal-rtn.log:
