Multiple Members on one Payment ID

Postby stormcloud » January 18th, 2012, 10:51 pm

It's a long story, but i have a membership setup where one person pays and then i manually add 6 extra people for that one payment.

If i enter the same Auto-Payment ID for multiple members, will it cause issues?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Are you referring to the Subscription ID? If you're not using the IPN integration, then you shouldn't have a problem.

However, if you're using the IPN integration to do things like automatically cancel an account when payment fails or when the user cancels their subscription, then you might run into issues when s2Member receives an IPN message for a specific Subscription ID and attempts to cancel the account associated with that Subscription ID.

I thought as much... just thought i'd ask anyway.

Also, with the EOT, when a subscription ends, does the user remain registered, but simply denied access to the pages?

I'm using the plugin for membership to a Hairstylists society, and the userID's are their member numbers. I read somewhere about the user being deleted, but i'd like to keep their details in the DB for if/when they renew their membership.

Thanks for the heads up on this thread.

You have control over the EOT behavior in your Dashboard. You can choose DEMOTE or DELETE from your Dashbaord, under: s2Member -> PayPal Options -> EOT Behavior.
