Embedding Video Content [SECURE]

Postby Koenjah » January 22nd, 2012, 6:37 pm

Hi,

I want to show video content to my paid members.

How?

I tried creating a LVL 1 Page and embeded a flv file with "FLV Embed"
But any member can look inside the source code of the page and see its uploaded origin.

So how to do this?:P

Thx in advance for help!!

I love you, This software is amazing :P

You can protect files in your server, check this video on how to do that:
http://www.s2member.com/file-download-options-video/

Hope this helps. :)

Hey Eduan,

Thank you for your Reply!!
I think this should work.

Ive followed the instructions but cant get the dl link working,
I get this:

"503: Basic File Downloads are NOT enabled yet. Please contact Support for assistance. If you are the site owner, please configure: s2Member -> Download Options -> Basic Download Restrictions."

You maybe know how to solve this as well ? :P
I have set

0 for 30 days at lvl 0
and 999999 for 30 days at lvl 1

the others are empty.

Have you enabled the download of that kind of file? You can do that under WP Admin -> s2Member -> Download Options -> Inline File Extensions.

Could you also make sure you changed your setting on the bottom of the page after finishing configuring it?

Hope this helps, and please tell me how it goes. :)

Ive changed the other levels to unlimited, and when I now acces the file it gives me a blank page.
When I click it thru a link it gives me a msg box of how many times ive downloaded it.

But the download doesnt start.

I think this has to do with inline file extensions?
I added flv to file extension, tried it without and with a dot before it.

Any suggestions ? :P

Could you try making a compatibility test with the other plugins and themes? Just do this so that we can narrow down the problem a little.

Just disable each plugin one by one (without including s2Member) until the problem goes away. If you can't make the changes site-wide because you already have users or somethings like that, you can use the Plugin Organizer plugin if you want in order to only disable the plugin on the page with the problem.

Also could you please try changing the theme to the default one (TwentyEleven)? And see if it works after that. Again, if you can't disable the theme in a site-wide manner you can use the Page Theme plugin in order to change the theme to the default theme in a specific page.

You should try one at a time in order to make sure you find the correct problem.

Another fast way, is to deactivate all the plugins (not s2Member) and change back to the default theme (TwentyEleven), and then clear your browser's cache. See if the problem goes away, if it does, then activate each plugin one per one until the problem appears again, then the theme you were using, that should show up the criminal.

If you find the criminal, could you please tell me which plugin/theme was causing the problems? Thanks.

Please tell me how it goes and I hope this helps. :)
