Download Count acting strangely

Hi, I have searched the forum without being able to find a resolution so hoping someone can help me out here.
I currently have the latest free version of S2Member (loving what I have seen so far by the way and will need to upgrade to Pro thanks to paypal's 20% subscription limit increase - thanks Paypal :D )
The issue I am experiencing is this:
I limit the number of downloads on a membership based level. It's all good and appeared to be working - i.e. it would only count the total number of downloads of a single file once. HOWEVER, when I navigate away and then return to the download page, when I download a file I have downloaded previously, it adds it to the count.
If I log out and log back in again, the count resets to the previous figure (5 downloads).
If I then try to download the file again it adds it to the count again (6 downloads). Log out and log back in - count reset to 5.
Am I missing something simple here? I simply cannot figure out what is going on.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

Hi niiki,

I haven't seen this problem before. I'm going to consult with another support rep and get back to you. Thank you for your patience!

Hi niiki,

Do you have a caching plugin installed? If so, can you try disabling that and see if it fixes the problem?

If that doesn't work, could you try disabling all plugins except for s2Member and see if that fixes the problem? (Plugin conflicts are often the cause of strange issues.)
