Require Approval of All Profile Edits

Postby boldplans » January 31st, 2012, 1:39 pm

Unfortunately I'm noticing a trend that spammers are taking out accounts and placing a link dump in user profiles. Is there a way to have all profile changes require admin approval?

That is not a feature of s2Member and would require a plugin that can store profile changes before applying them. It would require writing to the database and temporarily holding changes before applying them on approval. This isn't just a few lines of code and would require a full plugin to be developed. You might want to seek help here: s2Member Install Help / Projects / Custom Coding viewtopic.php?t=4158

Thanks for the reply Raam. I'm hoping you'll consider this as a standard feature in the future. Unfortunately without it we cannot allow users to have profiles because the amount of policing we would need to do is preposterous. At first we thought that the capabilities manager plugin would have handled it. The more we look the more we realize how Wordpress didn't really take into account more than a blogging engine for one or a few people. This might be a great area for you guys to make an even larger differentiation of this product and a huge selling point.
