Add New User Not Saving Custom Capabilities

Postby tristanputman » August 17th, 2010, 7:15 pm

Loving the new feature to be able to setup the custom capability and Automatic EOT Time, but unfortunately it does not seem to be working. After setting all the new user information, entering the custom capability and EOT date, I click save and while it does save the new user correctly, it is not saving the s2Member information.

You have to immediately click "Edit" on the user and enter that information again and then save for it to stick.

Just thought I would report the bug.

Hi Tristan. Thanks for reporting this important issue.

Can you please walk me through quickly, exactly what we need to reproduce this?

For instance, were you on the admin page " user-new.php " when you created the user?
If so, what Role did you assign to this new User?
What other plugins do you have installed?

Thanks a bunch!

Logged in as an Administrator
Clicked the "Add New" link under Users (user-new.php).
Setup Username, Email Address, First Name, Last Name, Password (twice), then added a Custom Capability (teacher) and entered an EOT Date (08/15/2011).
Clicked on the "Add User" button.
User was created, but no Custom Capability or EOT date (you can immediately tell now that the capabilities are listed on the User Listing page).
You can immediately "Edit" the user created to re-add the CC and Date.

Active Plugins that may affect this:
New User Email Setup
Role Manager
