No Paid Subscriber ID

Postby uurayan » January 17th, 2012, 3:28 pm

We have several members in our list who have no Paid Subscriber ID. In fact they have no data in the s2Member Configuration & Profile Fields except a registration IP.

We do know that some of these members are legitimate members who are being billed because we can see their transactions in Paypal. However one of them recently emailed because he was trying to update his billing information and received a "Nothing to update. You're NOT a paid Member" error message when clicking the update billing information link.

How can we fix this and identify if any of these users are not paying yet still have access? What caused no data to be created in the configuration fields upon registration?

Thanks.

If the Subscriber ID and other data is not being stored on the users s2Member profile, that would indicate a problem with either IPN Integration or PDT/Auto-Return Integration.

Please double-check the configuration in WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> PayPal IPN Integration and WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> PayPal PDT/Auto-Return Integration.

Also, to help us diagnose further, please enable logging routines (WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> PayPal Account Details -> Enable Logging Routines?).

If this happens again in the future, please share the logs from /wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs/ with the relevant entries from that transaction, X-ing out any private information before posting the logs.

In the meantime, you can edit the profiles of those customers and manually select their payment gateway and add their PayPal Subscriber ID.

It appears that it was not working before but now new accounts are getting this data created. How do I fix the old accounts that do not have this data? Especially those who wish to change their billing information and cannot.

*edit* sorry i did not see the tip at the bottom on how to edit. I will try this and report back.

Thanks.
